��You have arrived your destination, Zhangjiajie, the famous scenic zone in Hunan Province. My name is *****and I am a tour guide of Xinhua Travel Service. My tour guide number is *****. That is my pleasure to be your tour guide and, I will do my best to take on my responsibility to full fill my missions and I wish you have a good trip in Zhangjiajie.

��Zhangjiajie City located in the abdomen of Wuling Mountain, at the northwest of Hunan Province. It occupies an area of 9563 square kilometers. According to the recent census, Zhangjiajie's population was estimated to be 1118400 and Minority occupied 72.6% in the total population. The most of minority is Tujia, Bai, and Miao.
Zhangjiajie is at the part of sub-tropical zone, has a seasonal humid climate. Zhangjiajie's annual average air temperature is 16.8C, annual rainfall is 1400 millimeter, annual no-frost time is 258 days.
The mountain behind your head is the famous Tianmeng Mountain. I believe you have the memory about the wonderful scenery when the planes flied through the Tianmeng Cave in 1998.
��This river you are seeing is Lishui Brook, originate from the Badagongshan Mountain in Sangzhi County, the hometown of Marshal Helong. The river at last arrive in Dongting Lake after winded about hundreds kilometers. You can drifting in Lishui River and, you will enjoy her wonderful view.

��Our first station is Wulinyuan Scenic Zone in Zhangjiajie. It is best known for its quartz-stand stone peak forest and ravines.
��Now I will introduce zhangjiajie's history of development to you in general.
The former name of Zhangjiajie is Dayong, the site of former Yong country. SHIJI, one of the best book about history in China, have said: Yong, a country name. ZHONGYONG, one of the best book about history in china too, have said: 611 B.C, Cu destroyed Yong. So, someone believed that "Dayong is a former country". There are residents lived beside Lishui River in primeval time. Zhangjiajie were called South Primitive in the Time of King Shun in Chinese history. When Qingshihuang set up his Qing Dynasty, he found 36 Provinces in his empery, Dayong belong to Qianzhong Province. In Han Dynasty, Liubang, the first emperor of Han Dynasty, put Dayong into Wuling province. In 263, Chongliang Mountain, we call Tianmeng Mountain now, took place a big collapse, a huge cave come into being, that is called Heaven Gate Cave now, when Dayong belong to Wu country one of the Sanguo Time. Sunxiu, a emperor of Wu Dynasty, considered that is a sign of lucky, so he decided change Chongliang Mountain's name into Tianmeng/Heaven Gate Mountain and set up Tianmeng Province that have four county. In more than 1720 years, Dayong came through so many disasters and crisis. When 1980's, the whole world were shocked by Zhangjiajie's beauty in Dayong County' north mountain that just had been discovered.
So the government took a series of actions to develop tourism, such as:
In 1982, the government found the first National Forest Park of China in Zhangjiajie, filled up the blank there is no National Forest Park in china.
In 1985, the former general secretary of Chinese Communist, Comrade Hu yaobang wrote the inscription for Wulinyuan;
In 1988, with the approval of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, sat up Dayong city (county level);
��In 1988, the State Council of the PRC set up Dayong City, administrate Yongding Section, Wuling Section, Cili County and Sangzhi County.
��In 1988, Wulinyuan was inscribed on the list of 40-key scenic zone.
On Dec.24, 1992, the World Heritage Committee inscribed the wulinyaun Scenic and Historic Interest Area on the World Heritage List.
��In 1994, with the approval of the State council of the People's Republic of China, Dayong, a prefecture-level city, was renamed Zhangjiajie City;
��On an inspection tour in 1995, the General Secretary of Chinese Communist, Jiang Zemin encouraged the local people to "transform Zhangjiajie into a world-class tourist attraction".
�� So, Zhangjiajie opened his arms to Hunan, to the whole country, to the whole world.
For the sake of to realize the important target sat by Comrade Jang Zeming ahead of schedule, Zhangjiajie city established the develop tactic: tourism drive develop. The government of province have affirmed this policy. Tourism will be the backbone industry in Zhangjiajie City's GDP.
Since 1982, 20 years have pasted, Zhangjiajie have received more than 1680 million tourists include 40 million overseas tourists, and earned 3 billion RMB YUAN. In 1999, Zhangjiajie have received 327million tourist/ person-time and the total earning is 950 million RMB YUAN. Zhangjiajie is implementing the open policy of basing its growth on tourism. After ten years efforts, a new city of tourism has emerged.
Somebody said, Zhangjiajie abound in perfect scenes. Beside the Zhongjiajie National Forest Park, Tianzi Mountain, Suoxi Valley, there are so many other scenic zone such as Tianmeng Mountain National Forest Park, Maoyan River, Badagongshan Mountain, Jiutian cave, Wunei Mountain, and the former residence of Marshal Helong.

Part two: The top five travel routs

Huangshi village

(At the door of the park) Welcome to Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. This is the gate of the park. On july28, 1992, the officials of UNESCO high praised this gate when they past it because they considered the gate is a perfect combination of cultural sights and natural scenes.
Loumo Gulf. Laomo Gulf is the first scenic station of Zhangjaijie Forest Park. From here, you can go to Kidney Village, Huangshi/Yellow Rock Village, Chaotian Temp, Golden Wipe Rook, and so on.
(Stele of Yellow Rock Village) You will regret about that you never visited Zhangjiajie if you do not visit the Yellow Rock Village. Yellow Rock Village is the most important sight in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Zhang Liang, a high official of Han Dynasty and he is very famous in Chinese history. He had visited Zhangjiajie when he retired. Huangshidgong, Zhangliang's master, saved Zhangliang's life when he was besieged by official soldiers. Huangshi/Yellow Rock village is named after this story.
A Quiet Way In China Fir Woods. There is a single road to climb Huangshi/Yellow Rock Village. This road was made by manpower more than ten years before.
Zhangjiajie National Forest Park is the first national forest park in China. But The National Forest Park was first funded in United States on July 30, 1864. On that day the president Lincoln declared the government decided to set up reserve area at some beautiful place. On Oct.1, 1890, American president Benjamin authorized to set up national park to replace the reserve area of beautiful place. Then, there is a new word that is National Park in the world. From then on, just 100 years past, there are more than 1200 National Park in 100 countries. National Park became a very important policy to protect our environment.
But in China there is no National Park until the end of 70's, 20th century. At this time, a foreign guest asked the Premier of our State Council: " Are there any National Park in China?" Our premier's answer is very art, he said: "Yes, there are. You can visit them several years later." After the interview, the premier ordered some officials to find the place where adapt to set up national park. At the same time, Zhangjiajie, a so wonderful place had been found. So, the first National Forest Park in China came into being. On 1997, there are more than 870 forest parks (include 292 national forest parks) in China.
(RED CALABASH) This is just a little rock hill, but it like a calabash. When Zhangliang visited Zhangjiajie followed Chisongzi, he found Chisongzi refined a red calabash at this big rock house. Out of his mind, hundreds of soldiers tracked them, Zhangliang removed hurry to Yellow Rock Village, but he lost his Red Calabash. When soldiers strive to be first to rod it, Red Calabash fly to high sky suddenly, then become into a rock peak and push soldiers under it. Zhangliang awaked suddenly, Chisongzi saved him.
Dianjiang Platform. This is the first sight spot of Yellow Rock Village. There is a headman of Tujia nationality in Zhangjiajie, his name is Xiang Dakun, once rose up at the Stream Winding Around Four Gates because he do not satisfied official press of Ming Dynasty. Zhu Yuanzhang, the first emperor of Ming Dynasty, sent General Yangjing, General Dengyu lead five hundred thousands soldiers to put rise down and Xiang King sacrificed at Shengtang Gulf at last. Dianjiang Platform is a King Xiang's parade-ground place.
TREASUE-BOX FOR CLESTICAL BOOKS. Look! There is a wonderful rock on the top of the peak, do you think it like a opened box? In the local folklore, this is a book box of King Xiang he had treasured up his tactics books presented by Zhangliang. That is said who can get this book who will be the king of the world. Zhangliang present him with this book. he wish him become a good king of the ancient China. But he just read several pages, a Tortoise stolen his books. Then, nature's mystery had been revealed, king Xing destined to fail.
Here have so many scenic sight spots like TREASUE-BOX FOR CLESTICAL BOOKS in Wulingyuan scenic zone, so you can use your imagination give them some interesting name by yourself.
SEA-SUPRESSING NEEDLE.
SOUTH HEAVEN GATE. South Heaven Gate is 30 meter high, 4 meter wide, like a Door General guard the heaven.
SOUTH-HEAVEN PILLAR. There is a 200meter high peak. There are trees on it's top, but bareness at middle part. It named after South Heaven Gate because it stand close to South Heaven Gate.
Wang Guangmei Poet. On December 30, 1983, Wang Gungmei, the former president of China, Liu Shaoqi's wife, ascended Zhangjiajie accompanied by some high officials of Hunan Province. She is one of the celebrities who visited Zhangjiajie at the early time. She was shocked by Zhangjiajie' beauty, then she wrote a poem to commemorate Liu Shouqi. The poem said: wonder rock, the first of the world, green pine and China fir, how beauty they are!
Someone said the poem have double meanings.
HUANGSHI VILLAGE. This is Yellow Rock Village.
��Yellow Rock Village, with an area of 250mu, 1200meter high (altitude). Yellow rock Village is the biggest scenic watch platform in Zhangjiajie, and here is the best place to see sun rising in Zhangjiajie too. You can also see Tianmeng mount when it is a sunny day.
PICK STAR PLATFORM. You can pick star at here. Can you imagine how high is this Platform. For the sake of your safety, to be care for when you enjoy so nice scenic spot. In the early days of the Park, Zhangjunfu, a official of Committee of sate and his pluralism is Committee of national economy, have visited Zhangjiajie. One day, at the early morning, there are several star in the sky, he climbed up this platform, face to hundreds of rock peak, he chant a poem freely: Who is the most beautiful peak? Who is the most beautiful wood? Can you tell to me? I can not tell better from them. Here is not the sky. Here is not the world. Where am I? At the end, he named this place "PICK STAR PLATFORM".
SIX QUEER CABINET. Please guess what are the queers of the Six Wonder Pavilion?
SKY POND. This pond named Sky Pond, it has so many stories in spite of it is very small.
So long ago, Zhangling wandered famous mountains and big rivers followed Chisongzi, and it happened quite by chance he come to Tianmeng Mountain, Qingye Mountain (now we called Zhangjiajie) and Yellow Rock Village. The Queen of the Han Dynasty very feared him, so he ordered to raid him in the whole country. The Procurator of Wuling Town sent three thousands army to surround them. Zhangliang and his tens disciples have no food to eat, so they are very hungery. One day, zhangliang find a old man come down from the heaven sky, he realized the old man is Huangshigong, so he get his knee down quickly and said: Your disciples have difficulty and I beg your help. Hungshigong just smiled, and then disappeared in clouds. At this time, Zhangliang hear somebody crying: Master, Master, we are saved! We are saved! Zhangliang waked, and he asked his disciples: "what is matter with you?" The little disciples said: we found three big fishes in the pond, we have enough food in ten days! But Zhagliang said: Do not eat! Put them down to enemy! His disciples do not understand why Zhangliang throw away their delicious food to enemy? Because they are all very hungered. But they must obey Zhangling's order. So they throw away their fishes to official soldiers and singing: Yellow Rock Village, you can't concurred it for ever!
��Next day, official soldiers withdrawn because they thought Zhangliang have big fishes but they not prize them so they must have enough food. They considered there is no significance to continue to besiege them.
At last, Zhangliang told his prentices the man who saved them is his master, Hungshigong.
FIVE FINGER PEAK��FRONT GARDEN��BLACK FIR. My dear friends! Every rock peak here is an ancient artwork, every rock peak here hidden so many mysteries of nature. Facing to the sceneries of the beautiful rock peak forest, a woman writer who come from northeast of China, once sigh with strong emotion several years ago. At first she said: When you saw the beauty of Zhangjiajie, you ought to die. But then she said again: When you saw the beauty of the Zhangjiajie, you will have a good reason to live. The first sentence tell us we must be content when we see the perfect scenes of Zhangjiajie, but the second sentence talk about the importance of life and we must be very fond of it more when you saw the beauty of Zhangjiajie. Do you agree with she?
��Dinmang, the famous poet, face to The Front Garden full with emotion in the heart and he recite freely: If you never come to Zhangjiajie in your lifetime, Can you be called old man in spite of you are one hundred years old.
BLACK FIR. Now please look the opposite stiff, there is a forest with an area of 60 mu, four sides are all cliffs and 300 meter high, there are so many old pines. Tujia Nationality call them black fir. There is nobody who can go there and baked safely. In 70's, an old worker of forestry center head three men climb up the tip of the peak, they saw snake' s skin and so big tree. When they want to go in the forest find out the mystery of the peak, it is storm suddenly. That is out of their mind so they slip down hurriedly. They do not give up their risk and prepare to explore the peak enthusiastically. But when they climb up to the middle of the peak the weather is stormy again. So there is a no-man-touched-place with it's mystery until today.
NATURE BRIDGE PIERS��FLY CLOUDS CAVET. Here are six rock peaks more than 200 meter high, like remains of piers that bridge was fall down. On your left, there is a cave named Fly Clouds Cave.
Zhangjiajie's primitive vegetation preserved very well because Wulingyuan been discovered so late. Zhangjiajie is a great treasury of biology and be called a natural museum or a natural vivarium. Botanist considered that is because Zhangjiajie locate in the center of the sub-tropic zone so it has preserved the primitive scenes of Paleozoic vegetation in the Cangjiang River Valley. Zhangjiajie is the place that area of covered with forest occupaied 85%. Zhangjiajie have 751 kinds of trees such as Chinese Dove Tree, gingkgo. These are very rare in the whole world. But the most wonderful tree is Wuling pine and it usually grow at rock peak.
GOLDEN TORTOISE IN THE FOG SEA. This stone tortoise is carved vividly and it is very rare in the scenic zone of Zhangjejie. There is no other scenery can match it. This tortoise stole the book of Xiangwang King but it can not got away from Yellow Rock Village because Zhangliang convent it into rock and it will be a gate guard of Hou Ka Gate for ever.
HOU KA GATE. That is Hou Ka Gate and it is the only way that go to Yellow Rock Village. In Mar, 1995, Jiangzeming, Secretary-general of Chinese Communist, also go through this way. When have a rest at Tianzi Seat, he plaid Chinese Violin to accompany the local singer. At the top of Yellow Rock Village, he singed BEAT TIGER ASCENDING MOUNTAIN in the CIRCUNVENT THREATEN TIGER MOUTAIN of Peking Opera enjoy the happiness with tourists.
CABLEWAY STATION. We will down the mountain by the cableway. The cableway of Yellow Rock Village began build in 1995 and completed in 1997, invested by TAI WAN JI XIN LTD. AND ZHANGJIAJIE PARK MANAGET OFFICE. This is the first cableway in Zhangjiajie and filled in the blank of Zhangjiajie' sightseeing cableway.
WAITING WOMAN PEAK. That is said there is a Tujia hunter was arrested by Qingshi Emperor and be sent to build Great Wall, his wife stand at the top of the mountain waiting his husband come back everyday. At last, her husband never came back, she also become into a stone peak. The local folk song said: she is a good elder brother's wife of farmhouse, she is a good sister of mountain village, stand at the high mountain waiting her husband. When winter went and spring is coming, when north wild goose flying to south, she do not know what time her husband will back.
Couple Peak. I sincerely introduce the famous sight that is Couple Peak to you if you have interest about it. There are two peak on the opposite like a man and a woman talking about love, whispered some secret about them affection. In the folk, Couple Peak is the avatar of Eros.

TWO. Golden Whip Brook

Let us begin visit Golden Whip Brook. Golden Wipe Brook named after Golden Wipe Rock on it's bank. Golden Whip Brook's full path is 7.5 km, it will take you 3 hours to visit it. You will see some famous sight spot in this way such as Guanying Present Son, Golden Wipe Rock, Wenxing Rock, Violet Grass Pond, Dating of Love, Jumping Fish Pond, Stream Winding Around Four Gates.
��So many tourists considered that Golden Wipe Rock is the most beautiful canyon in the world. Nancy, a woman Sub-Chief Executive of Krorado in American, once said: Zhngjiajie is so beautiful and so wonderful. Someone said Big Canyon is very wonderful ( Karolado Big Canyon in American) but I think Zhangjiajie is wonderer than it." She considered Zhangjiajie is the most beauty of the world and she said she will remember it for ever.
LOBERSTER FLOWER. Do you notice the flower on each side of the road, that is the famous flower: longxiahua.
Kwan-yin Presenting Son. There is a little peak on your left like a woman cherished a child looking far away. The local residents called it Kwan-yin Present Son. It is said if a couple want to have a child you just sincerely give a promise here, your promise must come true soon.
GOLDEN WHIP ROCK. HAWK PROTECTING THE WHIP. If you ask what is the symbol scenery of the Zhangjiajie, the answer is ready, Golden Wipe Rock. Golden Wipe Rock is a 300m-high stone peak, stands northeast of the Gold Whip. As its top is shaped like a hawk's beak and the whole craggy body resembles a hawk with half -spread wings guarding the whip. This place is called hawk protecting the whip.
There is so many interesting stories about Golden Whip and The Hawk Protecting Whip. The famous is that in the way of Qinshi Emperor driving mountains to fill in the sea he was trapped by Longxia Fairy and lost his Diving Mountain Wipe.
DRUNK ARHAT. Let us have a rest and some enjoy folk songs of Tujia Nationality. Do you considered this inclined peak like a drunk arhat.
HUA GUO MOUNTAIN. WATERFALL SHADE CAVE. This is Sunwukong's Huaguo mountain and Shuilian Cave. When the Director and stars of XIYOUJI arrived here they said Zhangjiajie is the best place that adapt to that play surely.
Do you think that peak is very like Luxun's head portrait on you left? Luxun is a grand star in the literary of the world, so we called this peak Literary Star Rock/ Wenxing Rock. Lu Xun is the most famous and greatest litterateur, thinker, and national hero. The famous poet, Zangkejia, had wrote a poem to admire Luxun, he said: Someone is died when he alive, Someone still live in spite of he is died. Chinese people will never forget his dedication for his country.
VIOLETGRASS POND. This is the famous Violet Grass Pond. The water is very clear so you can see the bottom of the pond.
Please observe this stone bridge carefully. Can you guess who made this bridge, God or human power? There is a local poem about this bridge: God sent ten general with golden whip, they just singed "YOUHUO" then the bridge completed. This bridge is 2 meter wide, 4 meter high, 6 ton weight. This bridge was build by ten stone workers from Sanzhi County in 1983. they just used some very simple implements.
The brook on the left named Shadao Stream. There is a big canyon beside the brook.
There is no man lived there. From this way you can see Inclined Shadow of Stone Tower, Little Heaven Gate and so on. You can also go to Yuanjiajie and Tianzi Mountain from this way.
DATING OF LOVE. Where is your girlfriend? Where is your boyfriend? For the sake of your sweet can you throw off all other things and conquer any difficulties to see her or him? Can you imagine what had happened about them? But them come here to meet each other.
King Xiang retreat to Yuanjiajie from the slope on your left. They ambuscaded official soldiers here and beat them escape on any directions. Lunchuan Slope is named after this story. From here, you can go to Yuanjiajie, Back Garden, The no.1 Bridge of The World. Please look up now, there is a isolated peak named Goat Village and there is covered with virgin forest.
KIDNEY VILLAGE. From this stone road you can go to Kidney Village. The famous sights include The Mouth of Glede, Rabbit Looking Moon, and so on.
Jump Fish Pond. When the spring is coming all kinds of fish jumped so the local residents named this pond: Jump Fish Pond. The meaning is carp jump dragon gate.
��There is a kind of fish named giant salamander, the biggest kind of amphibian creature in the whole world and country are protecting them very carefully now. Giant salamander' formal name is DA LI, it just live in China, Japan and America. Sanzhi County is the famous hometown of giant salamander.
NANMO PING. This place named Nanmo Level Ground. There are sixteen species of nanmo tree in Zhangjiajie. Some of them had presented to the Emperor or high officials in the time of feudalism.

SREAM WINDING APOUND FOUR GATESGolden Wipe Brook meet Longwei Brook, Tianzi Brook, Kuangtong Brook here, and they made a beautiful gulf, that is Tianzi Gulf.
SREAM WINDING APOUND FOUR GATES is a very good place in Chinese superstition, Zhangliang was buried here in the local story. The mountain on your left is the remains of Zhangliang's tomb.
��In May, 1992, one of two officials of UNESCO who be sent to review Zhangjiajie, Doctor Sangseer said: "So clear water, so beauty vegetation, to some extent that is so rare in Asia.
�� SREAM WINDING APOUND FOUR GATES is joined with other scenic zone or scenic sight, it is very convenience to go to Zhangjiajie City, Ten Li Gallery, Tianzi Ropeway station, Jundiping, Yellow Dragon Cave, and Baofeng Lake and so on.
PINE FRUIT MOUNTAIN. This is Yuanjiajie. That place in front is Pine Fruit Mountain. That is said Pine Fruit Mountain is the site of the capital that King Xiang set up. But at last select Steam Winding Around Four Gates later, so here is King Xiang's second capital.
PUZZLING TERRACE. The terrace can accommodate over ten people to have a sight seeing. It is always covered by dense fog. The terrace makes the visitors puzzling and do not know where they are. So it is called pulling terrace.
THE FIRST BRIDGE IN THE WORLDThis is the First Bridge In The World. Did you saw two peaks are linked together by natural corridor? Now you can see this wonder is true in the world. The bridge is 20 meter long, 357 meter high. You can not see the bottom of the bridge and that is very danger if you walk on it. You can see the billows of the mirage, you can hear the howl of the pine, you can feel the tremble of the bridge. This is a wonder of the nature. Can you agree with me?
THE BACK GARDEN. There is a Front Garden in Yellow Stone Village, Yuanjiajie have a Back Garden too. The two gardens are the places that King Xiang hunting and lie fallow.
This brook is Shadao Brook, there is Bailiao Garden sight spot. When the winter coming, so many birds come here to escape the cold weather. So here is a heaven of the birds for its warm air every winter.

THIRD. Tianzishan Mountain.

We are going to Tianzi Mountain scenic zone (by bus). Tianzi Mountain, 1262.5 meter high (altitude), named after Xiang Dakun, he is a king of Tujia Nationality. There are four wonders of Tianzi Mountain: peak forest, clouds sea, sun rising, snow in the winter. I hope Tianzi Mountain's beauty will stay in your memory when you back. Can you forget so many spectacular and attractive visions? No, I believe you will regret when you have to leave here.
General Rock. Look! That is General Rock! It is the avatar of King Xiong in the local folklore. Did you see his golden corselet? He stand here for hundreds years like a General who command thousands soldiers. The famous writer, Mo Yingfeng, had wrote a poem to admire him. He said King Xiang died, but this stone general stay here to tell you King Xiong's mien.
QUZI CHANT. Qu yuan is one of the famous historic men in Wulingyuan folklore such as Chisongzi, qingshihuang, Zhangliang, King Xiang and so on. Quyuan is a high official of Zhu country in the Zhanguo Time, he was exiled by the emperor and other high officials. The stone peak that is 30meter high like a man is named Quzixinying, it is a famous sight spot in Tianzi Mountain Scenic zone.
Clearing In The Sky. This platform face deep pool in three sides and there are more than ten Mo farm field like a heaven out of the world.
GOD'S SOLDIERS JOIN FORCESFrom Immortal Bridge to Old House Field, there are hundreds of rock peaks like a group of soldiers stand in rank just like waiting to fight.
TEABOARD. There are some sight spot such as Daguangtai, Yibunanxing, Immortal Bridge, Sweet Tryst and so on.
BIG VIWE PLATFORMThis is a big view platform. You can see hundreds of rock peaks from this high platform. It has been estimated that there are 3303 rock peaks in Wulingyuan.
IMMORTAL BRIDGE. Immortal Bridge is 24 meter long, 2 meter wide. Yudongbin walked through this bridge and then become a immortal, Chang e walked through this bridge and then become a immortal too. And now, who want to be a immortal? I hope there is nobody intent to be for the sake of your safety.
There are two mysterious forbidden areas in Wulingyuan, one is Yellow Stone Village, another is Shengtan Gulf. You never went to Tianzi Mountain if you did not go to Shengtan Gulf. When it is rain you can hear some odd voice like fighting. In local folklore that is said King Xiang is not die and he is training his army so there is that odd voice. But expert said that is because the geomagnetism in Shengtan Gulf has the function of record.
DIANJIANG FLATFOM. There are many place name is connect to King Xiangwang, such as SHENGTAN GULF, GENERAL ROCK, DIANJIANG PLATFORM, YUBI PEAK and so on.
��It is said that when King Xiang failed he lead 3000 soldiers retreat to Tianzi Mountain and build a Shengtang Village continue to fight with official soldiers. This place is the remains that the site King Xiang had trained his army. After the last battle, King Xiang jumped down from here and sacrificed his life for his dream.
��I want to tell you a wonder phenomenon now. One day of Apr, 1991, the sun shines again after rain at the afternoon. When a group of tourists who come from Shanghai, arrived Dianjiang Platform, a so wonder scenery shocked everyone: in the center of the Shentang Gulf, seven fairies fly down to a peak's platform from color clouds, they drinking tea, playing violin, and dancing for 40 minutes. They think that be a hallucination, but when they look carefully, it is true! Three fairies wear green cloth, four wear red, long hair, graceful and lightness. When seven fairies disappeared, no one dare to break the silence. When the news spreaded, someone believe it, someone think it is a rumor. In fact we can explain this odd phenomenon in science. That is so often in great desert that tourist see oasis, villages, and cities.
BRONZE STATULE OF MASHAL HELONG. Helong, one of the ten marshals of new China, the founder of People's Republic of China and the founder the People's Liberate Army, was born in a peasant family in Hongjiaguang, Sangzhi County, in west of Tianzi Mountain. In Heong's hometown there are so many stories about him and he was full with legend in his lifetime. Tianzi Mountain is the place that Helong, Renbishi, Xiaoke, Wangzhen had battled. One day, Helong had been besieged by enymy but a local residence saved him.
��The Bronze Statue of Helong is 6.5meter high, 9.3ton weight, and it is the biggest one-man statue made from bronze in the whole country. The statue and the rock peak blend into one integral whole so it is a treasure of the world.
FAIRY STREWING FLOWERS. That is a solemn and stirring folklore. King Xiang jumped into Shengtan Gulf when his army was beat by official army for the honor of the Tujia people. After a while, a girl of Tujia Nationality who deeply love him tramp over hills and dales arrived Tianzi Mountain. She want to find out the remains of the King Xiang and his officers and soldiers but there is nothing but mountains and brooks. So she presented to King Xiang and Tujia heroes with flowers that she picked from mountains to express her love and respect to Tujia heroes. At last she become a stone statue stay here accompany King Xiang.
KING'S WRITING BRUSHES. Three rock peaks of different height stand side by side. With the trees on the top they look like three Chinese writing brushes. As the legend goes, these peaks were writing brushes used by King Xiang. Shrouded with mists and clouds, they seem to be floating in the sea. This place is called Jewelled Palace in Elfland' hills.
Tianzi Pavilion. The stele of Tianzi Pavilion is write by Guang Shanyue, the famous master of traditional Chinese painting when he ascended Tianzi Pavilion. On may 20, 1998. When he back home he painted a famous long painting about Zhangjiajie that was shocked Hongkong when it was showed in Hongkong.
THE TERRAIN MODEL OF WULINGYUAN
My good friends, the travel about Tianzi Mountain is end now, there are three road you can choice: First is take ropeway, the second is go to Ten Li Gallery via Lie Dragon Mountain, the third is go to South Heaven Gate. South Heaven Gate is a wonder of the nature, and very near to bus stop.
Sky Platform. This is the Sky Platform under our feet that is the place that Quyuan, the famous poet in Chinese History, asked questions to God, so we named it Ask God Platform.
��When Quyuan was exiled he heard there is a platform in Wulingyuan that is a way that immortal go to heaven from a fisher accidentally, Quyuan is very angry at that time so he decided to go to that platform, he said he have so many things to ask God. When he arrived the platform with Chanjuan guide by the fisher, he shouted to the sky: God, my God, I have a lot of things that I can not understand. If you are here please answer my questions. Then he asked: Who said the world begin from Sui? Who can check it?......God have no words to answer it, so he ordered close the gate of the south heaven, and sent clouds and stormy to threat Quyuan, but Quyuan take his courage on both hands so he fear nothing and he continue to asked his question. After three days letter, he had asked 180 questions.
�� At last, God was moved by Quyuan's courage so he opened the gate and sunshine come back Wulingyuan again. Quyuan wrote down his 180 questions that is TIANWEN, the famous poem in Chinese history.
South Heaven Gate. You will admire the nature's power when you saw the Gate of South Heaven. The gate is 10 meter wide, 15 meter high. Quyuan had went from this way to ask God so the gate's another name is TongTian Gate in local folk story, the meaning is you can go to heaven via this gate.

Yellow Dragon Cave, Baofeng Lake

SUOXI BROOK. This is the famous Suoxi Brook. A woman writer, her name is Suye, shocked by the beauty of the Suoxi Brook, she said: I want to be a rock and then I can be Suoxi Brook' wife, if I have a second life.
There are so many people admired Wulingyuan's water and mountains. There is a problem of aesthetics, that is the layout of art. The Theory of Painting, a famous book that wrote in ancient China, have said: mountain is the framework, stone is the bone, woods is the clothes, grass is the hair, water is the blood pulse, clouds is the shadow of the God, and tomb, village, bridge are the decoration (of a painting). Wulingyuan have all of them, so someone said Wulingyuan is the biggest super-traditional-Chinese-painting.
JUN DI PING. Here is the site of the government of Wulingyuan, Jundiping, a famous ancient battlefield like Suoxi Brook. When State Department authored to set up Wulingyuan county, here is just a sand beach. But now here is the political, economy, transportation, and culture center of Wulingyuan, had became a new tourism city. On the southwest, there is Baofeng Lake Park, on the southeast, there is the famous Yellow Dragon Cave. The former is the Heaven in the world, the last is the Best Cave in China. I believe you will have a good time there. They will give you some different feelings compare with the rock peak forest.

YELLOW DRAGON CAVE

Before 1983, nobody went to Yellow Dragon Cave after Master He, a man lived in the time of Qianlong in Qing Dynasty. In 1983, Mao Jinchu, lead nine commandoes entered the cave and endured so many difficulties, at last they found the true face of the Yellow Dragon Cave. In Jun, 1984, the Department of Yellow Dragon Cave been found. At the end of 1984, Yellow Dragon Cave opened to public. In 1997, Beijing Datong L.M.T took over Yellow Dragon Cave. I believe you have the memory about the wonderful scene when the planes fly through the Tianmeng cave in Nov, 1999.
��Yellow Dragon Cave is one of the best sight spot in Zhangjiajie. As some tourists said, Yellow Dragon Cave is a crystal of poem, is an agglomeration of philosophic, is a statuary of the angel.
Yellow Dragon cave, with a area of 100 thousands square meter, 7640 meter long, 140 meter high. There are two layer dryland caves and two layer water caves, one reservoir, two rivers, three ponds, four waterfalls, thirteen halls, ninty-eight corridor and thousands other fair things. The whole cave like an ancient tree have so much brand, there are caves in caves, sky out of sky.
Double Gate. The left is Happiness Gate and the right is the Longevity Gate. If you want to have a good life you can go through the Happiness Gate. If you want to have a long life you can go through the Longevity Gate. If you want to have long and good life you can go through a gate now and when you back you can go through another one.
DRAGON DANCE HALL. This is the place that the dragon's family had conducted ball. The ball just end, but the lover in the left balcony still whispering something, they have no sense about other things.
PLANT IN THE CAVE. A local writer happened to find there are some wild grass in the cave when the third Scenery of Cave of China on 1994. At the first there is no plant in the cave. There is no possibility to grow grass in the dark cave. But out of our mind the spring is coming in the cave because daylight lamp irradiated for a long time. The power of the daylight lamp waked up the dream of the life in the cave. Zhengda Zongyi, one of the program of CCTV came Zhangjiajie to produced a program of Zhangjiajie, had designed a play named Just Guess for the grass grow in the Yellow Dragon Cave. So there are so many tourists came here to see the wonder is true or fake. But now I will give you a problem about this wonder. Can you make out this mystery? First, where are the grass's seed come from? The birds, or the animals took them? Or the wind took them? Or just the reminds of the disasters of the earth endured thousands centuries before? Second, why the seed not died after thousands years? Why they came bake to life when them irradiated by the daylight lamps. Why the daylight lamps have this wonder power? Who can make out this mystery, he or she will be a respected guest of Yellow Dragon Cave in his or her lifetime. We are waiting for your answers.
XIANG SHUI RIVER. We are going to travel Xiang Shui River on the boat. Just like come to the palace on the seabed in the fairy tale of Antousheng, we come here. The two officials of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization said Yellow Dragon Cave is the best cave they have seen and there is a so long river in the cave that is out of their mind.
GODDESS WATER. Goddess Water Hall, with area of 5483 sq.m, is 27.3 meter high. There are three waterfalls rush down from high dome. In the folklore this is the water that dragon family drunk.
TIAN ZHU STREET. Guo Moruo, a great Poet in Chinese literature history, wrote a poem STREET IN THE SKY: Imagine in the sky there must have some beautiful streets.....Now you can see it is true.
Tian Zhu Street, one kilometer long, 20 meter high, 3 meters wide, connect by Sky Dragon Bridge, 22 meter long. Sky Dragon Bridge is the longest bridge in the cave in China.
Dragon Palace. Dragon Palace is one of the biggest hall in 13 halls of Yellow Dragon Cave and it is one of the most beautiful sight spot, with a area of 15000 sq.m, 40 meter high. Yang Chunqiu, a famous professor of Xiang Tan University in Hunan province, high admired Dragon Palace.
SEA-SUPRESSING NEEDLE. This is the symbol sight spot in Yellow Dragon Cave, 19.2 meter high, is the highest stalactite. It is reckoned that stalactite come into being cost two million years. The Department of Administration of Yellow Dragon Cave Scenic Zoon insured it for 100000000 RMB YUAN in order to protect it more safely.
LABYRINTH. Labyrinth located at the bottom of Yellow Dragon Cave. There are so many rock stalagmites, rock poles, rock flowers and other beautiful things.

BAOFENG LAKE

�� We have arrived Baofeng Lake Square.
�� The Baofeng Lake is 2.5 km long. There are two green islets in the lake. On the banks there are a rank of peaks. The lake meanders and then extended deep into the mountains. Boating in the lake, one sees countless peaks mirrored in the green water and enjoys her poetic Beauty.
Fly Waterfall. Dong Jianhua, the leader of Hong Kong, revived Zhangjiajie with his wife in the golden autumn of 1998. They visited Baofeng Lake and sat here took a photo.
In May, 1998, the famous master of traditional Chinese painting, Guan Shanyue, 88 years old that year, inebriated by Baofeng Lake's beauty. When he took a rest at a kiosk, his accompany, Zhong Cengya, a famous painter too, find that kiosk have no name so he named it Shanyue Kiosk. All other accompanies agreed with it. It is pity that Mr. Guan Shanyue had died, but Shanyue Kiosk will remember him.
At the top of the scaling ladder, you will see the whole lake. That is Baofeng Lake, 72 meter deep, 2 km long, the widest is 150 meter, the narrowest is 10 meter, impound 400 million cubic meters water. The dam under your foot is a wonder in the history of dam constructing in China. This lake completed in 1979, and in 1984, it is opened up as a resource of tourism. Since then, this beautiful lake face to tourists in the world.
FAIRY IN THE MIRROR. The peak stand in the lake we called Fairy In The Mirror. She inebriated by the beautiful shadow of herself.
Crocodile Rock. This rock out of water is called Crocodile Rock. It is said he was sent by Kwan-yin to protect Fairy. If there is someone intent to harm her or intent to steal her coronet on her head, he will must be killed by the crocodile.
Golden Tortoise Out Of Water. This golden tortoise lied in the center of the lake, when tourism boat sail near, the golden tortoise will come back to life.
Halieutic Cormorant. Once upon a time, the residents lived in Wulingyuan usually make a living by hunting and fishing. Cormorants is fish's natural enemy so them will do their best to track fishes and kill them.
�� The trained cormorant is very loyal to master. Once a time two cormorants disappeared, the fisher had given up after three days ago. On the fourth day he found his cormorants at the beach beside a very big fish. The fisher understood that his cormorant fight with the big fish for three days in the river.
�� This place between two mountains we called Duoguang Ya. The mountain on the south we call it Duogong Village, the north we call it Bianguan Village. There is a high official in Ming Dynasty and he lost his confidence about the Emperor and the officials in the dynasty. Once a time he interviewed Yongding, he find Wulingyuan is a best place to escape the corruption in high places in the dynasty. So he dismissed his accompany and never want to back. The emperor was very angry when he here this news, so he sent a official to arrest him and want to castigate him. A medicine-collection old man saved the life of the hidden official. The official have no other ways to achieve his mission and he was exile by the emperor at the last. Out of everyone mind, he want to retire from the world so he come Wulingyuan again. The old man sent him to the mountain that on the opposite of the mountain that the former official Zhang resided.
Hawk Nest Village. Wulingyuan once be a happiness place in the world, but at the end of Qing Dynasty, there are so many bandits in the mountains. That is the dark time in the Wulingyuan's history.
�� There are more than 20 villages, the most famous village include Yellow Rock Village, kidney Village, Hawk Nest Village, Black Dragon Village, Goat Village, Green Rock village, and so on.
�� Hawk Nest Village, 720 meter high, is a natural military barrier so there is an important place to everyone who want to occupied the whole area of the west of Hunan Province.
A Gleam Of Sky. A Gleam Of Sky, 200 meter long, 100 meter high, and the width no more than 4 meter, is a wonder in Zhangjiajie.
HEAR WATERFALL CABINET. The tour of Baofeng Lake is over now, I suggest we go to Hear Waterfall Cabinet to enjoy some music and have a rest. That is a national model architecture.

1��ZHANG JIAJIE
��It is well know that there is Zhangjiag Port in Jiangsu provience, there is Zhangjiakou in Hebei province, and there is Zhangjiajie in Hunan province. Why we called Zhangjiajie?
�� The old name of Zhangjiajie is Qingyan mountain. There is an official named Zhang wancong in Qing Dynasty, he want to possess oneself of Zhang jiajie. He intent to occupy the whole area of Zhangjiajie. So he decided to took high-pressure policy at last. But the presidents do not feared and they took their own way throw Zhangwancong out of Zhangjiejie. Then, they took name from Zhangliang's stories in local folklore renamed Qinyan mountain. The new name is Zhangjiajie.

MAOYAN RIVER DRIFTING

Varied and interesting outdoor life-rough and heroic, Maoyan River, a length of upper reaches of Lishui River-one of the fourth biggest rivers in Hunan Province, closed to the famous Zhangjiajie National Forest Park and only 30km away from Zhangjiajie city. Zhanjiajie's Maoyan River Scenic Zone Consists of a great number of deep valleys, swift rapids, trickling springs and torrential falls. Drifting down the river in a rubber boat from Hot Spring Ferry. Weng-tang township, one will fell exotic and stimulated through the scenes more marvellous than dangerous.
Maoyan river is the demesne of Maogang Tusi, the leader of Tujia, Qinhuo had attacked official army 600 years before hear. So, all the place name have it's beautiful story about Qinhuo. This gives Maoyan River some sense of mystery.
Maoyan River is one of the top five travel routs in Zhangjiajie.
WARM POND PIER. Hear is the Worm Pond Pier. We can not know how long the pier had been constructed. Here is the dividing line of Maogan Tusi and Yongshui Tusi. That is the third barrier and is the last barrier of Maoyan Tusi too.
��In the early of 80s, BIAN CHENG, one of the most famous work of the great litterateur in China, Shen Congwen, directed by Lin Zifeng, was filmed. It is said that the actor who make after Cuicui, reluctanted to leave the Diaojie Cabinet she had resided.
HOT SPRING. There are two hot springs at the ferry. One is at the opposite bank, 37-39C.
SUO YING POND. This pond is like a glass and no one can see it's bottom in spite of the water is very clear. The shadow of mountains and trees reflect in the water, that is a very beautiful scenic. So the local people called it Suo Ying Pond.
FIR ROOT POND. Care for yourselves, there is Fir Root Pond in front. That is the first pond in the drifting route, prepare for dancing with billows of Maoyan River.
MANDARIN DUCK ISLAND. There are two islands in the center of the river, that is Mandarin Duck Island. Two islands like two big mandarin ducks. That is an affectionate couple.
CHECK HOUSE VILLAGE. This is a very small Village between water and mountain. Qi Hou had been tracked by Ming Dynasty, retreat to Mao gan and fostered his war house hear.
�� Now we are preparing to go to beach, if you have interest to collect some beautiful stones, here is a natural storeroom.
THREE HUNDRED PUNT-POLE. There are two meanings about this place. The first meaning is that you must step three hundred rock frusta to go to the top of the opposite cliff. Another meaning is that the boaters must very care for when their boat entry the Yanhe Gorge.

��Do you know Liu Zongyuan? He is one of the eight most famous and greatest literature in Tan and Song Dynasty. He had written a famous work named PU SHE ZHE SHUI, that is one of the best masterpieces in his work. He never came to Wuling, but he hear some of it so he high praised the beauty of the Wuling. Maoyan Canyon, 10 km long, is very dangerous and every people who go through here must face to the death.
MAOYAN SHOAL. In front of Manyan Canyon there is a danger shoal. Here is the most dangerous place in Maoyan Drifting. Care yourself now!
WATERFALL FROM THE HOLE AMID THE MOUNTAIN. Waterfall From The Hole Amid The Mountain is the trump card in Maoyan sight spots. On your left the waterfall fly down from 70-meter-high-cave. In Jun, 1991, the former director of National physical training Committee, the President of National Physical Training labour union, Li Menghua, was high praised this waterfall and inscribed to it.
QI HUO CITY. On your left there is a village named Qinghuo City. At the end of Yuan Dynasty, Qinghuo prepared for long-time-war before rise up. He build a very self-contained defence system include Qinghuo City. It was take official army's more than ten days to conquer it.

MAOYAN LAKE

�� It is my pleasure to accompany you to tour Maoyan Lake. Mao yan Lake away from Zhangjiajie City 42km.
�� The starting point is Yutan Dam, the ending point is Kuzhou Brook, in Sangzhi County. Green mountains, limpid water, high gorges and local villages, decorate the Maoyan Lake. So the Maoyan Lake is very beautiful scenery.
YUTAN HYDRODYNAMIC STATION. This is the first station of Maoyan Lake tour, and Yutan Hydrodynamic Station is the biggest modernized hydrodynamic station in Lishui River.
��The main purpose to build the Yutan Hydrodynamic Station is to accommodate the water that flow into the Tongting Lake in the Lishui's downriver valley. But at the same time a very beautiful lake was come into being and attract so many tourists come here to enjoying her virgin face. The goal is single, but the interest is twofold.
Huilong Mountain. The mount in front named Huilong Mountain because it's terrain like a dragon body. There are more than 1000 kuchu trees and maples, include more than 300 thousand-years-old-ancient-trees on the island.
RELIC OF TUSI CITY. On the right there is the relic of Tusi City. Maogan Mountain, near Songzhi and Yongshui, like a west gate of Dayong.
MAOGANG TUJIA NATIONALITY. Maoyan Lake is the place that Tujia reside and living. Maoyan River is the demesne of Maogang Tusi, the leader of Tujia. Qinhuo is the most reverent hero in the history of Tujia. So many place name take their name from the story of Qinhuo. ��
KITCHEN RANGE OF QINGHOU. Please look at this way, there is a natural rock bridge like cave of kitchen range. It is 50 meter high, 40 meter long, 30 meter wide.
DOUBLE TIGER PROTCTING VILLAGE. Next to the Seven Years Village, there are two mountains at the bank of river like two tigers protecting the water route of Maoyan River.
SEVEN YEARS VILLAGE. Here is the ancient battlefield in the Ming Dynast and it take it's name from the story that the King Qinhuo fight with official soldiers for seven years at this place. Seven-year-village is the hometown of Qinhuo and there is only one gate can entry this village. General Zhou Dexing and Yangjing besieged the Seven-year-village but can't conquer it. So they set a trap arrested Qinhuo and seized the opportunity occupied the Seven-year-village.
QINHUO EMLACEMENT. On the left there is a cave named Qinhuo Cave. On the underside there is an emplacement named Qinhuo Emplacement. The emplacement is seven years high, three meters wide, established many artilleries and crossbows.
MAOYAN VILLAGE. Here is the remains of the Maogang Village once be a famous commercial port. In 1786, the mountain behind the village coasted and the Lishui River wad blocked, a thousand-resident-village was ruined.
DIVING PLATFORM. At the opposite bank there is a big stone, seven meter long, like a diving platform of diving athlete. That is said Qinhuo often diving into lake train himself from there.
QINHUO BELL. There is an ancient cave named Wind Cave. In the cave there is a flagstone. If you knock it the stone will emit voice like copper gong. It is said Qinhuo often practise his skill there so there is named Qinhuo Bell.
BITTER BAMBOO VILLAGE. The village in front named Bitter Bamboo Village, take its name from the bitter bamboo that grow there. This village is 5km away from the Jiutian Cave, a survived ancient town preserved the best and the most completely in the Northwest of Hunan Province, where the typical architectural complex form the Ming Dynasty is maintained intact, enjoying the excellent potential for development of folk custom.
��Bitter Bamboo Village located in the canyon and here is the distributing center of Sangzhi, Yongshun, Yongding, and the east of Sichuan, the west of Hubei. ��
Bitter Bamboo Village is the last station in the Maoyan scenic zone. Now we will depart from here to the first cave in Asia-Nine Sky Cave.
ADD: THE FOUTH WONDER OF MAOYAN RIVER.
BANHTOU SPRING. On the east of Maoyan River there is a cave named Binlang Cave. Out of the cave there is a Miyan Spring. Beside the spring there are so many village women wash clothes, so the spring we called Bangtou Spring.
GEYSER. Beside the Ha Brook there is a wonder spring, every other 20 minutes the spring will effuse water.
SALT SPRING. Salt Spring located in the center of the Manyan River, the water is white and taste salted.
HANWU CAVE. There is a cave on the west of the Manyan River. The cave is 15 meter high, 20 meter wide. The cave will emit fog in the cave if somebody shouted near the cave.

JIUDIAN CAVE

The cave is named after the fact that three are nine clear stories meeting with the top of roof, which is divided into upper, medium and lower layers, with an area of 250sq.m. Inside it, the water tunnel and dry tunnel are interlinked and the bottom is 420m above the terrain surface. In the cave you can find everywhere the stalagmite, stele, stone curtain and screen. It is shaped in attractive formation in different conditions. In 1988, the Jiutian Cave was listed as the province-level scenic spot and in 1995, it was also close as the member of the International Cave Association, and the exloration base for the association. It is the trump scenic spot of the western travel route to Zhangjiajie.
GREETING GUEST HALL. This hall cover with an area of 2500 sqm, 30 meters high, make up of Sky Pond and Inner Hall.
LOTUS FLOWER. Here is Lotus Flower Hall. On the top of the cave there is a red rock like a big lotus flower.
THE NINETH SKY PALACE. This hall located in the upper layer. At the east of the hall there is a stalagmite, 30 meter high, like an ancient bell. It's perimeter is 5-6 meter.
DRAGON'S PALACE IN THE NINTH SKY. This hall with area of 700 square meter grow multicoloured lichen in it. So we call it Dragon Palace because there is very wonderful. There are nine rock poles, one meter high, at the north of the hall. They like officials and officers protecting the other rock image.
WORLD IN THE HEAVEN. This rock road made by manpower, 180 meter long, is a strategic place so we called it The Only Road of Hua Shan Mountain.
Underground Forest. There are a lot of poles of stalactite like big trees. So somebody said directly: that is a virgin forest.
�� On the early of the 80's in 20th century, a group of experts of cave exploration high praised the vegetation grow in the cave.
BAI BAO LAKE. Bai Bao Lake is a underground lake, 65 meter long, 2 meter wide, 1-4 meter deep.
Milky Way In The Ninth Sky. Do you think the scenery we faced now like a waterfall? In fact that is the white rock waterfall made of rock slurry.
Ancient Battle Field In the sky. This hall cover with an area of 3500 sqm, there are hundreds stalactites in the hall like soldiers and officers.
Jade Palace. This hall, more than 800 sqm, treasured up so thousands rock bamboo shoot, rock pole, and other stalactites. The hall is the play place of the daughter of dragon and the wife of the dragon prince.
Crystal Palace. This is one of the best scenery in Nine Sky Cave.
Bake Fairy Palace. Here is the biggest farmland, with the area 5000 sqm, named Black Palace In The Ninth Sky.
Qing Emperor Palace. Here is a pool under the earth, in the middle of the pool there is a rock platform, on the platform stand a 40-meter-high-stalastite like the god of longevity. He sit among a group of piggish monkeys leisurely.

PART THREE. RELIGIONAL AND CUTURAL TORRISM ROUTE
ONE. HEAVENLY GATE MOUTAIN

�� The mountain is the famous Tianmeng Mountain, I believe you have the memory about the wonderful scene when the planes fly through the Tianmeng Cave.
�� Tianmen Mountain, 8km away from Zhangjiajie, 1.93km wide, 1.96 km long, with the area of 2.2 sqkm, 1856 meter high(altitude).
�� In 263 AD, Congliang Mountain, we call it Tianmeng Mountain now, a big collapse took place, a huge cave come into being, that is called Heaven Gate Cave now, when Dayong belong to Wu country, one of the Three-country-Time. Sunxiu, a emperor of Wu Dynasty, considered that is a sign of lucky, so he decided change Songliang Mountain's name into Tianmeng/Heaven Gate Mountain and set up Tianmeng Province have four county.
�� For the sake of expediting open up Zhangjiajie, the longest cableway in the world is preparing to construct in Heaven Gate Mountain.
Heaven Gate Cave. There is a cave on the 1264 meters high cliff of the Heaven Gate Mountain, 131.5 meters high, 37 meters wide.
Heaven Gate Mountain Temp. Tianmen Mountain Temp first founded in the Tan Dynasty. In Ming Dynasty the temp transfer from the east top of the mountain here.
Dragon's Head Rock. This is the Dragon's Head Rock. There is a dragon head on the rock before. It is said if you embrace the dragon circled the cliff, God will help you in your lifetime.

In the 50's of 20th century, several hunters chased a wild pig. At last, the wild pig run into Sheng Tang Gulf. A hunter died when he jump down to Sheng Tan Gulf to seek the wild pig. When he died, he said he find a very big snack. That is the snake driven him into mad and he died for this disease.
In the 70's, an expedition of PLA with tommy guns and dogs went into Sheng Tan Gulf. Suddenly, a white thing flew out of ancient woods. One of the soldiers shot at the white thing and died. It is a very big white rat! They was shocked by this rat so they decided come back.
In the summery, 1982, a local writer invited three comrades to explore Sheng Tan Gulf because he intent to collect some data of folk literature. They just arrive the gate of the Gulf, suddenly, there is stormy and so much wog come out, so the come back.
�� Only one mouth later, they went to Sheng Tan Gulf again, it is storm too. They was puzzled by this very strange phenomilon, are there any power we can not know helped Sheng Tan Gulf?
�� In the summer of 1986, a press-photographer who come from Beijing go to Sheng Tan Gulf intent to find the mystery of Sheng Tan Gulf guide by tour guide. He here some strange voice and it was storm, he was feared so he gave up his plan and said he will never go to Sheng Tan Gulf again.
In the last of 80's, a professor led his several students went to Sheng Tan Gulf, he felt faint, so his students come back with him. They failed too.
At the same year, the Department Of The Farm sent a well weaponed team to find the mystery of ShengTan Gulf, but they also have no means to come to the bottom of the gay. So they came back too.
��There are so many mysteries in Shen Tan Gulf, in spite of she is very beauty and charm. Somebody said Shen Tan Gulf is a big magnetic field so he can record the battle voice and released in suit weather. Somebody also said the fog in Shen Tan Gulf is the malaria so everyone who had entered the gulf all died. No one escaped.
