　　Flying Like a bird in the air is the dream of human beings all the time,therefore come the touching legendary tales like The Goddess Chang's fly to the moon, Crane ride into heaven, across the sky on clouds,etc,and the unremitting exploration of the human being to make this dream work. From the kite wood and Drag Racing in China's spring and autumn and warring states period to the bamboo dragonfly and the Kongming Lantern in Houhan period, From leonardo Da Vinci’s aircraft to the Wright brothers’ first plane, human being are making their dreams come true step by step with Kite, hot air balloon, airships, gliding wings, the airplane and the spacecraft.
　　
　　今天新闻发布会介绍给大家的是，9月24日，在湖南张家界天门山，将上演世界最震撼的翼装飞行穿越天门和翼装特技飞行表演活动。这是世界最顶级的极限运动，首次在中国惊艳亮相，并挑战新的极限。
　　
　　There will be the greatest wing outfit flight through Tianmen Mountain and flying stunts performing in Tianmen Mountain of zhangjiajie in September 24. This is the world's top extreme sports and new challenges performing for the first time in China.
　　
　　翼装飞行也叫近距离天际滑翔运动,诞生不到20年的历史。飞行者身着翼装，从高楼、高塔、大桥、悬崖上飞下，紧贴高空中的建筑物或自然景观进行飞行，危险性和难度极大，是世界极限运动之最。翼装飞行能够实现，主要得益于翼装特有的翼膜构造，就像给人插上鸟一样的翅膀，可以在空中飞翔。目前正在热播的好莱坞大片《变形金刚3》就展现了翼装飞行的震撼与刺激。
　　
　　Wing outfit flight is also called short distance sky gliding sport, which was born less than 20 years.The flyer are flying down from tall buildings, towers, bridges and cliffs wearing wing outfits, close to the highest buildings or natural landscapes. Wing outfit flight is the world's top extreme sports which is extremely risky and dangerous.Depending on the special wing membrane structure,wing outfit flight can make human being flying freely in the sky with bird-like wings. The present Hollywood hit "transformers 3" is showing the shock and stimulation with wing outfit flight.

　　Wing outfit flight through Tianmen Hole will be a new legend of human fly history and a new creation of global extreme sports as well. Today, we are very pleased to have the challenger of wing outfit flight,Mr. Jeb Chris from USA, and Mr. Iiro Seppanen, Finnish Wing outfit flight star and Mr. Stephen muller from USA.

　　In 2007, British geologist, Simon Winchester praised zhangjiajie is as great as the Great Wall, is our planet's most unusual geography biological ecology wonders in New York times.It is those wonders inspired the creative team of Avatar to create the Pandora planet and suspension of the mountain scene. It is those wonders inspired extreme sports player from all over the world to finish incredible challenges in Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain. It is these wonders inspired constantly influence on China and the whole world,which makes Zhangjiajie China's beautiful tourism brand.
　　
　　9月24日在天门山的奇峰险壑中上演的翼装飞行，必将吸引全世界的关注。雄奇险峻的天门山和天门洞，将迎来美国、澳大利亚、芬兰、德国、挪威、意大利等6个国家，共9名世界顶级翼装飞行高手的精彩绝伦表演。
　　
　　The thrilling wing outfit flight through Tianmen mountain in September 24 will appeal to the world's attention definitely. Breathtaking Tianmen mountain and Tianmen Hole will meet nine of world's top wing outfit flight spectacular performers from 6 countries including the United States, Australia, Finland, Germany, Norway and Italy.
　　
　　张家界市城南拔地擎天的天门山，是世界上最独特的喀斯特高山台地。位于天门山海拔1300多米的绝壁之上，高悬着举世罕见的穿山溶洞，似一块明镜高悬于万仞绝壁之上，又像一扇能通达天庭的大门。天门山古称嵩梁山，史志记载，三国吴永安六年(公元263年) ，山体忽然峭壁洞开，玄朗如门，吴王孙休视为吉兆，遂易名为“天门山”。绝壁之上的天门洞，高131.5米，深60米，宽57米，洞口最窄处28.03米，南北对开于千寻素壁之上，终年吞云吐雾，景象变幻万千。

　　Tianmen mountain,which is the world's most unique karst mountain platform,lies in the south of Zhangjiajie City. Located in more than 1300 metres above sea level cliff in Tianmen mountain is an universally rare water-eroded karst cave,which is like a mirror looming over the cliffs and a door to the gate of heaven can access.Tianmen mountain is called Songliang mountain in the past. In 263 A.D. the mountain suddenly opened like a giant door，which is regarded as auspicious signs by Sunxiu，the king of Wu Dynasty.The King renamed it Tianmen mountain then.Tianmen Hole high above The cliff is 131.5 meters high，60 meters deep, 57 meters wide and the narrowest point of the cave is 28.03 meters deep,which is above the cloud all the year with trilling scenes.
　　
　　1999年，世界瞩目的“张家界世界特技飞行大赛”，在天门山实现了人类首次驾机穿越自然山洞的壮举。“穿越天门”的挑战奇迹至今仍令无数人记忆犹新。

　　2006年，天门山再次上演新的传奇。俄罗斯空军“勇士”重型战斗机飞行编队，从7000公里外的莫斯科飞抵张家界，进行了惊险绝伦的飞行表演，并试图进行重型战斗机苏27穿越天门洞的挑战，后因巨大风险及保护资源的舆论压力而放弃挑战。
　　
　　Another legend was on in 2006. Russian air force warrior heavy fighter squadrons, flew from Moscow 7000km away,made the breathtaking flight performances.They also wanted to take the challenge of flying the heavy fighters SU-27 through the Hole,which is canceled under the pressure of huge risks and environmental protection。
　　
　　2007年，法国冒险家、蜘蛛人阿兰·罗伯特，在天门山进行了其冒险生涯中风险最大的一次挑战，徒手无保护攀爬天门洞百米岩壁成功，上演了一场令人惊叹的“绝壁芭蕾”。

　　In 2007，french adventurer spiderman Alan Robert took one of his biggest risky challenge to climb the cliff of the Hole without protection，performed a rock success as an amazing a precipice ballet.
　　
　　2008和2009年，中国新疆达瓦孜传人赛买提先后两次在天门山挑战39度极限坡度的高空钢丝最终成功，命悬一线、惊心动魄的挑战过程令人震撼。
　　
　　In 2008 and 2009, the descendant of Dawazi Craft Saimaiti thrillingly Challenged walking on 39 degrees slope of steel wire successfully，hanging by a thread。
　　
　　2010年3月，世界最优秀的高空王子瑞士人弗雷迪·诺克和赛买提，联袂挑战坡度超过40°天门山高山索道钢绳，欲实现高空钢丝行走的极限征服，终因难度太大，双双中途放弃。
　　
　　In March 2010, the world's most outstanding high walking prince Swiss Freddie Nork,together with Saimaiti, challenged more than 40 °slope mountain steel wire cable attemping to conquer human high altitude steel wire walking limit eventually dropped out because of the difficulty.
　　
　　我们相信，今年9月24日，翼装飞侠将在张家界天门山创造惊天奇迹，成功穿越天然山洞。美国翼装飞行明星杰布·科里斯先生，堪称世界极限运动的传奇人物，被誉为全球最顶尖、最强悍的极限运动家。1998年以来，杰布先后在全球16个国家完成了近千次极限飞行或低空跳伞，征服了包括美国皇家峡谷大桥、金门大桥、巴黎埃菲尔铁塔、瑞士马特洪峰、上海金茂大厦等世界著名地标。9月24日，他将从距天门山顶数百米高空的直升飞机上跃下，凭借翼装飞行穿越天门洞，到达指定的位置。由于飞行难度和风险之大，一周前，杰布在接受美国广播公司采访时说，这将是他一生中最具挑战的极限项目，也是一次全球极限运动的创举。
　　
　　We believe that this year, on September 24 in zhangjiajie ,the flyers with wings will create miracles.Mr.Jeb Chris, a world-famous extreme sports legend,is considered as one of the top tough extreme sports.Mr.Chris successively completed nearly one thousand time limit flight or base jumpers in 16 countries Since 1998, including the world-famous landmarks such like the royal gorge bridge and the golden gate bridge in USA, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, the matt flood peak in Switzerland and Shimao Tower in Shanghai,etc.In September 24,he will jump off a helicopter hundreds of meters high from the mountain, with wing flight, to the location specified. ‘This will be the most challenging project in my life as well as a breakout of global extreme sports’,he said at his ABC interview a week ago.
　　
　　为实现穿越天门的挑战梦想，去年6月，他带领团队专程到天门山实地考察，随后研究制定了科学可行的飞行线路，研发改良了新型滑翔翼，并特别为此于几个月前就开始在欧洲进行紧张的训练。
　　
　　To make the dream come true, he took his team come all the way to the Mountain doing researches,developed a scientific and feasible flight line, improved a new kind of gliding aircraft and especially trained tensely in Europe a few months ago.
　　
　　除了杰布?科利斯先生的挑战天门，包括意大利翼装美女飞行员罗伯塔·曼奇诺、芬兰低空跳伞运动明星伊罗?塞伯伦在内的其它9名世界顶级翼装飞行高手，将以天门山索道轿厢、鬼谷栈道、山崖绝顶、直升飞机等为起跳点，在险峰峡谷之间进行翼装飞行表演。这些起跳点距离山下谷底的高差，一般在300-400米之间，高差最大处可达700米以上。天门山奇峰众多，参差陡立，沟壑纵横，地形异常复杂，气流变化莫测，飞行难度之大将超出想象。相信他们一定会以超凡的绝技和无比的胆识，为大家展现一场最精彩、最震撼的翼装飞行大戏。
　　
　　In addition to Mr.Chris, other 9 world top performers like Italy beauty wing pilot Roberta Mannkino and Finland base jumpers sports star Iiro Seppanen will fly down from cableway compartment, cable footway,high cliffs and helicopters performing in the perilous peaks between canyon.The elevation distance between the take-off point and the bottom of the valley is 300-400 meters averagely, 700 meter the highest.Tianmen Mountain has numerous wonderful complex peaks,ravines and terrain,which made unpredictable difficulties for performers.We believe that they will show us the most wonderful and thrilling wing outfit flight performance ever with their extraordinary brave stunts.
　　
　　今天来到发布会现场的伊诺，是低空跳伞运动的疯狂热爱者。他征服了芬兰所有翼装低空跳伞的地点，征服了世界6块大陆上海拔最高的山峰。斯蒂芬·穆勒是德国职业跳伞队的教练，他跳过最惊险的观景台——俄罗斯奥斯坦金诺塔。
　　
　　Today comes Mr. Iiro Seppanen,a skydiving crazy lover,has conquered all Finland installed base jumpers and 6 continent highest mountains. Stephen muller is a German occupational parachuting team coach,who jumped over the most breathtaking observatory, Russian Ostankino Tower.
　　
　　2011红牛翼装飞行穿越天门活动由张家界市人民政府主办。活动旨在让世界了解张家界，加快张家界走向世界的步伐。
　　
　　2011 Red bull wing outfit flight through Tianmen Mountain performance is held by Zhangjiajie Government, designed to let the world know zhangjiajie better, to speed up the pace of zhangjiajie developing into the world.

　　作为东道主，为确保本次飞行表演活动的成功举办，活动组委会将进一步完成天门山天门洞的数据勘测、气象分析等准备工作。特别是将针对最影响翼装飞行的山体四周和天门洞内的气流变化，加强观测和分析，避免发生灾难性事件。还将周密组织安全保卫、后勤保障等方面的精干力量，制订切实可行的工作方案和应对各种突发性事件的应急预案，保证这次活动成功圆满，万无一失。
　　
　　As the host, we organization committee will complete the preparation data of the mountain survey and weather analysis to ensure the success of the flight performance activities, Especially strengthen the observation and analysis, and avoid the catastrophic events focusing on airflow changes around and in the Hole which is most influential on the fly, carefully organize security, logistics, etc,to make practicable plans and deal with all kinds of unexpected events of emergencies.
　　
　　针对各国翼装飞行挑战者在活动中的生命安全保障问题，张家界市政府将从国内遴选一流的专业安全救护团队，调集直升飞机等先进设备，并将提前进行实地安全救护演练。在目前国内保险机构尚不能对翼装飞行进行风险评估和承保的前提下，将联系国际保险机构对各国运动员统一承保。
　　
　　Zhangjiajie city government will select first-class professional safety rescue team from domestic field，assemble advanced equipment such as helicopters and drill safety rescue on the spot in advance to solve security problems. We will contact the international insurance institutions for unified athletes’ insurances in consideration of current domestic institutions’ unablities of risk assessments and insurances.
　　
　　张家界山水是大自然赐予人类的瑰宝，在9516平方公里的土地上，集中了奇峰、峡谷、溶洞、湖泊、溪流、原始森林、名胜古迹等资源，是世界罕见的旅游资源富集之地。264平方公里由石英砂岩峰林峡谷构成的“张家界地貌”，为世界独有。2010年，张家界接待中外游客2405万人次，实现旅游收入125亿元，入境游客140万人次，连续多年领先中国同类旅游城市。今年上半年，张家界旅游接待人次和旅游收入较去年同期实现了30%以上幅度的增长。2011中国张家界翼装飞行穿越天门活动的主办，也必然会进一步提升张家界在国际的知名度和影响力。
　　
　　Zhangjiajie is one of the human natural treasures.It has mountains, canyons, caves, lakes, streams, primeval forest and places of interests in its 9516 square kilometers of land ,as rare enrichment of tourism resources all over the world. Zhangjiajie landscape is unique in the world made up of quartz sand and canyon,which is 264 square kilometers. In 2010, Zhangjiajie,continuous leading tourist city of China,recepted 24.05 million tourists from home and abroad, made 12.5 billion yuan of tourism income,and met 1.4 million tourist arrivals.The first half of this year, Zhangjiajie tourism reception and tourism revenue people met more than 30% increase than the same period last year. The host of wing outfit flight through Tianmen Mountain will further enhance the international reputation and influence of Zhangjiajie in 2011.
　　
　　今年9月，除了翼装飞行穿越天门活动外，还将在张家界举办由30多个国家音乐团队参加的第二届中国国际乡村音乐节。从今年中国首条中低速磁悬浮铁路落户张家界，到联合国世界旅游组织旅游可持续发展张家界观测点的挂牌，从世界最长的天门山高山观光索道，到世界第一台大型山水实景音乐剧《天门狐仙·新刘海砍樵》的上演，无不彰显了张家界人登高致远，自强超越的精神。张家界正在加快步伐，将建设成为具有优良生态环境和特有文化气质、绿色低碳、宜居宜游的世界旅游目的地；目前已成为中国首批旅游综合改革试点城市，航空口岸面向国际扩大开放也已获得国家批准。
　　
　　The spirit and vision of people in Zhangjiajie show from China's first low-speed maglev railway, to the tourism sustainable development of Zhangjiajie observation from United Nations, from the world's longest listing Tianmen Mountain cable in the world, to world’s first major landscape imaging musical Tianmen HuXian,new cut firewood. Zhangjiajie is speeding up, it will become a good ecological environment construction and unique cultural temperament,green with low carbon,a good livable and  tourism destination.It is now China's first comprehensive reform pilot tourism city,with its aviation port obtain the approval of opening abroad.
